Senior Structural Engineer (Contract) - Hemel Hempstead

If you are a highly skilled Senior Structural engineer who is an excellent communicator with the ability to develop relationships with clients and fellow professionals then this could be the role for you.

We are working with a firm of multi-disciplinary consulting engineers who are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer within their Hemel Hempstead office on a full time contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for residential projects and housing development experience and therefore experience of working on UK residential developments with a consultancy is essential as is reinforced concrete knowledge.

They need someone who can hit the ground running and although it will not be necessary for the Senior Structural Engineer to speak to clients they will need excellent communication skills in order to ensure they are able to communicate clearly to other engineers.

Requirements:

• A degree in Structural Engineering,
• A Chartered or near Chartered Engineer within a relevant institution,
• A minimum of 5 years' within a consulting environment,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Strong design and modelling software skills (Tekla),
• Some masonry and foundation knowledge would be beneficial.

Although this contract role is expected to last a minimum of 2/3 months there is the potential for this to be extended.
