An opportunity for a building structures engineer in our client's new West Midlands office, ten miles south of Birmingham City Centre. This is a well-established civil and structural consultancy employing over fifty engineering staff in London the North and Midlands. Working under the direction of a chartered civil engineer your first project will be a multi-storey concrete frame residential development. More generally your workload will focus on commercial, industrial, residential, health, education and conservation projects. You will use your analysis and design knowledge whilst developing valuable conceptual, project delivery and presentation skills. There will be regular design team meetings and site visits.
You should have a degree in civil or structural engineering from a reputable university and have knowledge of design and analysis software, the practice currently uses Tedds, Staad, Ram and Tekla. The company provides a supportive and friendly working environment and will assist you to gain the right experience and training to become a chartered civil or structural engineer.
