A design consultancy located in the Manchester are looking to appoint an Associate Director Civil Engineer. The primary function of a Civil Engineer Director is to be responsible for the overall delivery of accurate design and specification of civil engineering projects utilizing the team resource efficiently, within agreed timescales and agreed fee/cost parameters

The Civil Engineer Director will ideally be a chartered engineer with the ICE and with a minimum of 15 years' experience, with strong technical ability and excellent verbal and written communication both internally and externally.

The Civil Engineering Director will be responsible for developing appropriate business opportunities in a supported environment and will as a result grow the Civil Engineering team in depth and breadth. The role involves liaising with clients to plan, manage, design, and supervise the construction of projects with the objective of delivering the brief and winning the next project.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

To undertake project management where required to assist the Practice in delivering building and civil engineering projectsTo disseminate the agreed client's brief to junior support staff, supervise design work, review design work for quality and accuracy and ensure programme dates are metTo mentor and train junior staffTo prepare and or direct and or review outline and full drainage designs in accordance with current guidance and codes of practiceTo prepare flood risk assessments in accordance with current guidance'sTo undertake ground modelling and volumetric studiesTo advise on pavement design and highways design including statutory notices, S278.S38, S106 agreementsTo liaise with the Environment Agency and third-party authorities in pursuit of scheme design approvalsTo update and maintain civil engineering technical database and specifications and to comply with the QA policy and support QA auditsTo support in the delivery of master planning of projectsTo develop site constraints plans working in conjunction with internal disciplines and external consultants and agenciesFor more information on this fantastic opportunity then speak to Andrew Sparks at Conrad Consulting or call on 02038542961
