Highways / Drainage Engineer - Bristol

We have an exciting opportunity for a Highways / Drainage Engineer to join one of the world's most prestigious names in multi-disciplinary engineering services in a role that will offer the successful candidate a career working on some of the most exciting and challenging engineering projects around the globe.

The transportation team in their Bristol office cover all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management from inception to detailed scheme design and delivery support and they require a motivated engineer to join their existing highways team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with confidence to work on your own initiative or as part of a team,
• Use your excellent analytical skills to derive potential solutions to engineering problems and engineering judgement to appraise and recommend options,
• Undertake designs, production of and review design documentation including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications,
• Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in standards.

Requirements:

• BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent,
• Chartered Member (or working towards accreditation) of a relevant Professional Body,
• Experience in civil engineering design and relevant local and UK highway design guides,
• Good written and spoken standard of English,
• Assisting with the resolution of engineering problems,
• Ensuring tasks are carried out within agreed timescales and budgets.
