Structural CAD Technician

An AutoCAD technician with structural experience and an interest in developing new skills is immediately required by this leading independent consultancy. The workload encompasses building and industrial projects, with a growing emphasis on the energy, renewables and mission critical sectors. The position provides the opportunity to extend your range of experience and to gain sought after REVIT skills. You will join an expanding civil and structural division, working alongside the head of the CAD team and closely with junior technicians and civil and structural engineers. The company provides excellent conditions of employment and operates a hybrid working model. You will be expected to be office based two to three days per week, which includes occasional site survey visits. A company workstation, phone and IT support will be provided. The company: An independently owned practice with decades of trading history. They employ over two hundred staff with expertise in civil and structural engineering, architecture, building surveying and project management.

Your Role: You will be an integral part of their civil and structural division, your role will include drawing preparation, ensuring correct engineering specifications are followed, attending design team meetings and occasional site and client visits.

About You:  At least four years Auto CAD experience with a structural focus. Qualified to  HNC/ HND level or above. Capable of producing general arrangement drawings and of collaborating with engineering colleagues to deliver accurate and timely work. Good organisational and communication skills.
