Health & Safety Advisor - Civil Engineering project - Gwynedd, North Wales

Outstanding and unique opportunity for a experienced H&S Advisor to join this Civils project

Hays Civil Engineering are working alongside a National Civil Engineering Contractor with a huge reputation within the Civil Engineering sector. We are looking to recruit an experienced H&S Advisor to join an outstanding, and unique project in North Wales

You will be joining one of the most unique projects in the UK; this is a £250m project, with a programme of works over 6 years

Reporting into the H&S Manager on site, you'll come from a Civil Engineering background, and have prior experience working on large Civil Engineering projects previously. You'll be a key stakeholder on the project, and will be responsible for managing this important function on site. Experience of working on multi-million pound Civil Engineering projects is crucial to this role

To be considered for this role, you will have a NEBOSH General or Construction qualification. Day to day duties will include:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of H&S are met on site
  • Supporting the site with Risk Assessments
  • Carrying out site inspections, and site audits
  • Supporting the project team with all H&S legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify H&S training needs on site, and carry out training with the full site team
  • Complete H&S documentation
  • Understand the H&S requirements of the Principal Contractor, and site obligations
  • Experience of Environmental management, within a Construction environment


This is a site based role in Gwynedd, North Wales, and is being recruited for on a permanent basis. They will not consider freelance options for this role. This is a £250m, 6 year project in the heart of one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK

Accommodation on site will be available from March 2023; however lodge allowance will be included until this time
