Senior Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be joining the utilities division of a world-leading Tier 1 infrastructure and engineering contractor working on a major water framework in the Midlands. This organisation is one of the UK's leading infrastructure specialists, specialising in the design, build and maintenance of utility infrastructure, and currently provide a wide range of clean and wastewater services alongside developer services. Working in partnership with high-profile clients such as United Utilities, Severn Trent Water and Scottish Power, they take a tailored and innovative approach to every project to ensure specific requirements are met as well as their clients' and customers' needs. With this contractor you will be working on high value (~£1million) infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.

Your new role
You will be reporting to the Principal Commercial Manager and be responsible for, but not limited to, reviewing complex contract programmes, monitoring subcontract activities, analysing commercial progress, preparing procurement programmes, analysing rates and prices, analysing tender documents, preparing internal reports and financial reconciliations as well as preparing, submitting and negotiating claims when required.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will be able to prioritise and work within set deadlines as well as possess strong interpersonal skills. You will hold a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and a strong interest in infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. In addition, you will have previous experience surveying in the water and/or utilities sectors and have worked with NEC3 & 4 contracts. Previous experience working on major water frameworks is favourable.
