Your role will have focus at the front end of claims requiring diagnosis of structural and foundation faults, moving on to providing advice on repairs and mitigation. The subsequent completion of construction work is managed by a team of building surveyors who you will also support on technical issues.

They have well established IT infrastructure to efficiently support working from home, you will be equipped with phone, iPad and laptop and their IT support team will provide support whenever required. The role is largely home based requiring visits to properties to carry out diagnostic work. There will be regular video conferences with your regional manager, surveyors and adjusters.
You should be a degree or HND qualified engineer, and ideally incorporated or chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, or an equivalent body. Knowledge of structural diagnosis/survey and repair methods relating to buildings or civil structures is required. Working with a range of stakeholders demands good interpersonal skills. Finally, you will need to be a disciplined engineer with good organisational skills.
