Associate Director

Our client is a boutique engineering consultancy based in northern Glasgow that specialises in Steel frames and structure design.

At present, they are looking to appoint an Associate Director on a permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to progress into a director role within 3-6 months.

Initially, you will join the business as an Associate Director and learn the business and where possible attract new clients.

Although steel projects form most of the project pipeline, this consultancy like to diversify their business and they will turn their hand at all projects that are interesting and profitable.

This role will see you become the leader of a small team of 7 experienced engineers, working on a diverse project pipeline that ranges from car showrooms to large retail units and commercial refurbishment.

As Associate Director, you will be responsible for the following

• Technical output of the team
• Preparing reports
• Supervising the team ensuing that the highest possible standards are achieved
• Preparing fee proposals and invoicing projects
• Managing all financial aspects of the business (following promotion to director)

Upon progression to Director, you will receive industry leading bonuses (up to 20% of company profits).

As you will be progressing into a director role it is essential that you have the following attributes/ experience

• Possess a strong working knowledge of Masterseries and Tedds software
• Chartered status
• SER registration (or able to achieve within a short timescale)
• Natural leadership qualities
• Track record of leading profitable and high-quality projects
• Comfortable attracting new clients
• Technically astute

• £65,000 - 70,000 per annum (increasing once director)
