Junior Acoustic Consultant - Permanent Job - Up to £27,000 - Flexible Location / Remote

My client is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with national coverage. They offer expertise in civil, structural, geo-environmental, geotechnical and acoustic engineering with growth on the horizon in other areas of environmental consultancy.

As a part of the next stage in their growth, they are looking to add an enthusiastic and motivated junior acoustic consultant to their current team of acousticians.
Your new role
The position covers both environmental and architectural acoustics, with the main workload being environmental at present. My client is interested in an acoustician with either experience. Sectors they work in (but not limited to) are: residential, commercial, energy, education & leisure.
The position is based in Nottingham, however a home-working model is in place and you would only need to attend the office on rare occasions, and of course, frequent site visits.
Main Responsibilities:
- Noise & Vibration site surveys nationally
- Acoustic modelling [Training & Guidance provided]
- Assessments [Training & Guidance provided]
- Be willing to learn and develop with the senior members of the team
What you'll need to succeed
- Can do, flexible attitude
- Relevant acoustics related qualification, for e.g. DipIOA
- Full UK Driving License
- Basic knowledge of UK acoustic standards and guidelines
- General understanding of sound propagation & attenuation
- Excellent IT skills; MS Word & Excel
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Basic commercial awareness
