Building structures design is at the heart of this dynamic civil and structural consultancy’s expertise. The position will enable you to gain invaluable design and site exposure and engage your technical and interpersonal skills. You will become an integral member of the project team, be involved in front-end design and analysis, attend regular design team meetings and make regular site visits.  

The Company: Established for over 50 years this is a progressive independently owned LLP specialising in building structures and their associated civil engineering and infrastructure. They employ over 100 staff nationally.

You are unlikely to see this staunchly independent firm absorbed by a large corporation.        

Training & Progression: MIStructE and ICE approved training is provided and organised through mentorship, on the job training and regular CPD activities. Their engineers achieve chartered status swiftly.

Technical Excellence: Their large quota of chartered civil and structural engineers means can they provide an impressive building structures technical capability. They are able to deliver complex major projects with a level of client care and satisfaction that are the envy of many of their larger competitors.    

Your Profile: You will need upwards of three years structural design experience covering steel and concrete design.  A good degree from a reputable university is essential and you must be willing to work towards becoming a professionally qualified civil or structural engineer.                

As well as mentoring and guidance from structures associate there is an ICE approved training scheme and support to attain IStructE chartered status. There are excellent career and work prospects, they employ over one hundred staff and this number is steadily growing. Their project workload will provide variety and involvement in arts, leisure & sporting, commercial, education, healthcare, residential and industrial schemes throughout the UK and internationally.
