Your new company
Hays Engineering are pleased to be assisting an Engineering Consultancy in Bristol in the recruitment of Nuclear Safety Personnel to join their expanding team.
Your new role
On joining our client's growing Engineering team, you will make a leading contribution to the company's success by providing nuclear safety and process engineering advice to the design, operation, maintenance, defueling and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
You will liaise and work with operators, designers, key SQEPs, and other technical experts within the nuclear licensee, building strong working relationships across the company and their client organisations. You will deliver success by leading on all aspects of the project lifecycle, from the identification of opportunities and production of bids, through project management and delivery, to project close out.
You will lead and/or oversee engagement with clients during all project phases and support business development by fostering strong client relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a Chartered engineer or working towards Chartership with a professional institution. You should have experience in the following: defining safety case strategies and communicating these to stakeholders, deriving safety functional requirements, leading optioneering workshops, specifying and overseeing the production of supporting analyses, and experience in safety case authoring and oversight.
Experience in the following areas/activities is also advantageous to your application: producing safety case substantiation evidence, defueling, or decommissioning, site/station safety case and operational activities, expert knowledge in a specific technical field (e.g., process, hazards, numerical analysis, electrical engineering, C&I), developing and/or maintaining business/key account relationships, actively supporting the professional development of other engineers.
What you'll get in return
This role is being offered with a salary between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience, as well as:
