Project Manager

Your new company
You will be joining the utilities division of a world-leading Tier 1 infrastructure and engineering contractor working on a major water framework in the Midlands. This organisation is one of the UK's leading infrastructure specialists, specialising in the design, build and maintenance of utility infrastructure, and currently provide a wide range of clean and wastewater services alongside developer services. Working in partnership with high-profile clients such as United Utilities, Severn Trent Water and Scottish Power, they take a tailored and innovative approach to every project to ensure specific requirements are met as well as their clients' and customers' needs. With this contractor you will be working on high value (~£1million) infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.

Your new role
You will be reporting to the Principal Operations Manager and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing financial forecasts, monitoring and controlling projects costs and cost reporting, delivering projects from design phase through to completion, developing and maintaining construction programmes, chairing weekly site meetings, ensuring detailed site diaries/records are completed as well as reviewing progress, budget resources and forward planning.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have experience of managing projects within a civils/water environment and have good working knowledge of CDM regulations, contract conditions and risk management and control. You will also have knowledge of NEC contracts and hold a degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or experience equivalent). In addition, you will have a CSCS managers card, SMSTS and CEng (desirable). Finally, you will be an excellent communicator with excellent people and team management skills and have proven successful experience of managing and delivering projects with success.
