Civil Engineer (Contract) - Sevenoaks

Due to a healthy order book and the subsequent expansion of their civil team, our client, a national name in engineering excellence is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join them in their Sevenoaks office on a full time, Contract basis. Applicants with between 2-4 years of relevant post graduate experience will be considered for this role.

Projects include: Residential, Commercial, Education and Industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Design of infrastructure for commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors including SUDS drainage systems, roads to adoptable standards,
• Liaison with statutory bodies such as Southern Water, Environmental Agency and County Roads Departments,
• Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis, design software and AutoCAD,
• Willing to attend design meetings, site meetings and carryout site inspections,
• Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work,
• Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and time tables.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil engineering,
• Between 2-4 years' relevant post graduate experience,
• Roads & drainage design experience,
• A working knowledge of Civils 3D and Microdrainage
• Confident client-facing and communication skills,
• Ability & willingness to mentor other team members.
