Senior Structural Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Structural Engineer that is ready for a new challenge within a global sized consultancy with UK wide reach?

Our client is offering a Senior Structural Engineer the opportunity to work on a large defence project for a global engineering consultancy within their expanding central Glasgow office.

Although the role is aimed at Structural Engineers based within Glasgow/Central belt the role offers an agile working approach that will be tailored to the needs of the individual and their schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful delivery of design projects across various sectors such as Defence, Education, Commercial and Residential within the UK.

The office offers multidisciplinary design and engineering services on local, national, and international projects and play a leading role within some of the worlds most complex and challenging engineering projects that frequently exceed £300M.

For those that are career focused and driven by frequent internal promotions and recognition there is a clear career pathway to Associate to Director level and beyond with continuous support, mentoring and industry leading training.

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER PROFILE

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Chartered or near chartered level
• Proven track record in engineering design delivery
• Sound commercial understanding of consultancy business
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Security clearance is required (this can be arranged by the business)
• Experience working with 2D and 3D analytical packages such as Robot, Tekla and Tedds

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Client and stakeholder interfacing (providing project updates, presenting information, and delivering reports)
• Technical and commercial responsibilities for structural engineering design delivery
• Undertaking calculations and all associated design documentation
• Mentoring of junior team members, sharing best practice, and providing guidance

IN RETURN

• £45,000 - 50,000
