Contracts Manager, 12 months work minimum, Hybrid working, Inside IR35
Your new company
Based in South East London, this public sector organisation are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to maintain the organisations housing stock. The organisation manages in excess of 5,000 properties all based in South East London. The area is going through a major development and regeneration phase, with multiple projects, which include new homes as well as industrial and retail units. The transport links are extensive with over ground, DLR and well established bus routes. These all make this a very accessible commute.
Your new role
As the successful candidate you will lead the strategic contract management of all maintenance contracts across the Property & Building Services directorate specifically the residential contracts. You will establish, implement, and manage contract management and administration framework and governance processes and procedures across the directorate and support the procurement and tendering of contracts. You will lead the development and management of external partnerships with developers, service providers, external advisors, and consultants for the department. As part of the job it will be your responsibility to be the "bridge" between the organisation and their respective contractor partnerships. You will help manage relationships between the client and the contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
Having public sector experience in the housing maintenance environment is highly desirable. You will need to demonstrate your experience of managing contractors, internal and external stakeholders and resident organisations. It is essential that you have an excellent understanding of how tenders and specifications are awarded and have a track record of managing and improving KPI's. You will also need to show your aptitude in building and maintaining long standing professional relationships. A good understanding of Microsoft Office software is essential.
