Pre-Construction Project Manager

Pre-Construction Project Manager required for leading Civil Engineering Contractor in the North West


Hays Civil Engineering are delighted to be working alongside this leading Civil Engineering Contractor in supporting them recruit a Pre-Construction Project Manager for their offices in the North West

Specialising across the broad sector of Civil Engineering, you will have an excellent understanding of the Pre-Con process, and will be a pivotal part of the team in winning new work

Reporting into the Commercial Lead, parts of the work winning function will include: Leading & Contributing to Bids, Programme Management, Feasibility, and Winning Tenders

Projects include:

• Roads & Highways
• Structures
• Bridges
• Water
• General Civil Engineering projects

Main duties will include:

• Confirm the requirements of individual bids and ensure they are submitted within the deadline
• Lead bid kick-off, reviews and feedback meetings
• Contribute relevant ideas for identifying win themes and developing bid submissions
• Write original and review, edit and check bid responses for bid PQQ, tender and framework submissions
• Produce bid stage construction programmes, to supporting pricing and for submission
• Gather internal evidence and collate data for bid content
• Liaise with internal stakeholder teams, to support enquiries, submissions and research
• Provide support to estimators to determine construction methodology, including producing NEC compliant programmes
• Support the operations team by providing scheme specific early pre-construction planning phase deliverables
• Provide support to Contracts Manager & Commercial Lead to transition to ownership of programme, and projects

We are looking for someone who has a dedicated passion for Civil Engineering, and is a true professional

You will have exceptional attention to detail, and be absolutely proficient in using MS packages, incl Excel, Powerpoint; and also advantageous if you have experience using Asta Powerproject
