Technical Director (Infrastructure)

We are working with one of our key clients to find them a Technical Director to play a leading role in the infrastructure team in their London office on a full-time permanent basis, to assist with their increasing workload. They are looking for an enthusiastic, driven & charismatic individual who will head up this team and take it forward.

Responsibilities:

• Lead through technical / project delivery the management of client relationships.
• Contribute to the development of fee proposals.
• Undertake the role of Job Manager and Internal Project Coordinator where applicable.
• Prepare Infrastructure design solutions and management of the preparation of design calculations and drawings in accordance with the relevant design standards.
• Manage the cost and revenues on projects.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering,
• IEng or CEng status with a relevant Institution or be working towards,
• knowledge and understanding of UK codes of Practice, Design Standards, Building Regulations and Health and Safety,
• Extensive experience of infrastructure design (below ground drainage; services coordination; cut/fill; pavement design; external levels; Highways etc.),
• An understanding of projects both during design and construction,
• Experienced in using AutoCAD/Civils3D and WinDes (MicroDrainage),
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and will be able to act as a positive role model,
• Experience in a similar role is essential.
