Civil Technician

Are you an enthusiastic Civil Technician that is looking for a new challenge?

Our client has a healthy range of challenging and complex projects that include commercial units, sports facilities, and residential developments for you to sink your teeth into.

Based in Western Edinburgh our client is well established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with over 40 years' experience that is known for its staff retention and frequent internal promotion with the directors having a keen focus on providing all staff with the training and support to achieve chartership and other professional qualifications as well as fast track to a director scheme.

With a current headcount of around 50 staff and counting they are looking to expand the office to keep up with the demands of their growing project pipeline.

Reporting directly to two more Senior Civil Technicians you will be able to use your creative skills as you work under minimal supervision whilst learning and working on your professional development.

Modern, hybrid working (from home) is an option however, the Senior Civil Technicians are keen to have fresh faces in the office as much as possible so that hands-on support can be provided when needed and synergy between all Civil Technicians can be achieved easier.

Responsibilities:

• Produce infrastructure designs and detailing of roads, drainage and site levels
• Produce designs using AutoCAD, PDS modelling and similar design software
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure coordinated work

Requirements:

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civils 3D
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision, managing workloads
• Strong understanding of the relevant Codes of Practice and Design Standards

On offer:

• £35,000 - £40,000
