Associate - Façade Engineering

Our client is a leader in forensic engineering specialising in the built environment. The position has a technical and managerial emphasis, full support and training will bring you up to speed on forensic engineering practices that are new to you. The workload will focus on investigating failures that beset building enclosures in the UK and Europe, commencing with site investigation and culminating in the identification of the cause and contributing factors that triggered the failure. Working alongside the manager of the London office, also a façade specialist, you will play a key role in the divisions’ steady expansion and management, which will result in further career progression.

They are leaders in façade engineering, building physics, architecture and conservation. Their forensic engineering and repair capability is considerable and supported by in-house laboratory, testing and research facilities. About you:  A chartered civil engineer (MICE), structural engineer (MIStructE) or architect (RIBA). At least seven years façade engineering experience that includes design, specification, review, delivery and supervision of junior staff.  A strong analytical and lateral thinker. Commercially aware with an interest in providing input on strategic issues and business growth.  Highly evolved interpersonal skills and able to carry out client facing and supervisory duties.
