Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, experience dependant.

Location: Hybrid and flexible working arrangement, with home working and in one of our offices in Northallerton, Kendal, Otley, Cockermouth or Durham (including some travel to other sites).

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours’ per week.

Benefits: 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays’, company pension and other benefits.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with experience of drainage and building projects to join our multi discipline workforce.  This appointment is due to our continued steady expansion, with our project across North Yorkshire and Cumbria.  You will bring your positive and proactive work ethos to our current team of Civil Engineers, who take real pride in their work. 

You will be involved with projects from the very start, drawing on your knowledge and understanding of engineering to help lead a successful team with day-to-day workload as well as using your effective organisational skills to manage personal workload including significant design projects.  You will demonstrate initiative and draw on your experience to positively inspire, promote growth and development in a professional and approachable manner.

In this exciting and challenging role you will be at the heart of Align Property Partners as we continue to grow.  You will part of a professional team of Engineers who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and whose passion and determination leads them to continually improve the service they provide.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

​Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience working as a civil engineering design consultant across Residential, Commercial & Industrial sectors.   

Experienced in managing project delivery and providing leadership within an engineering consultancy.

Fully competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage.

Skilled in preparing detailed designs and specifications using software such as PDS, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Micro-Drainage and Flow.

Excellent knowledge of relevant UK planning requirements, adoptable standards and building regulations.

Proven track record delivering full civil design packages including obtaining S38 / S104 / S278 / S185 Agreement approvals.

Experience in producing Flood Risk Assessments & SuDS Design

Attained or close to achieving IEng/CEng status membership with the ICE.
