Senior Marine/Port Design Engineer

My client is looking for an experienced Chartered/Near Chartered Engineer with 5+ years of experience in civils, marine, bridges or highways.

You will be working on an exciting portfolio, involved with residential and commercial, public, industrial, and marine sectors.

Based in the picturesque Hove seafront and just a short walk to the train station and public transport links to the city.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects from start to finish
• Liaising with Directors, and clients on project issues
• Mentoring junior engineers and graduates
• Lead inspection work
• Ensuring documentation is compliant to business management systems
• Preparing monthly reports and fee forecasts
• Leading in development of fee proposals

Requirements

• 5+years of experience
• Chartership or working towards
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Structural design experience and knowledge of recent design standards
• Effective report writing
• Leadership skills/Team working mentality
• Design expertise using British, European and international standards
• Managing design projects, inspection of work and resources and budgeting
• Marine, Coastal Maritime experience is desirable
