As the Principal Engineer (Civil & Structures) you will be responsible for assessing the condition and specifying the renewal of a wide range of assets, mainly associated with the Tyne and Wear Metro System. Creating and updating relevant standards, advising front line teams and working with internal and external suppliers.
Your portfolio of technical skills will include experience of a variety of assets including bridges, earthworks, tunnels, stations, depots and retaining walls. Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential, neither is general railway experience as appropriate training will be given.
