Structural Engineers – Underground Structures – Australia

My client is a leading international heavy civil contractor running a number of key infrastructure projects around Australia valued in the billions. In order for these projects to be a success there is a need to recruit top talent from around the world and as such they are now searching for a number of Structural Engineers.

As structural engineer you will be responsible for providing high quality design, engineering knowledge and effective project management skills to support multi-disciplinary engineering works. Your deep technical understanding of structural works (concrete/steel) will allow you to develop and deliver practical and economical engineering solutions on a number of major civil projects. Particular experience in precast works for underground structures is ideal but not essential. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders throughout the process to ensure project outcomes satisfy their expectations.

You will be a qualified engineer with a minimum of 8 years’ experience which includes working on large scale design and construction projects. Experience in the design of heavy underground structures, knowledge of dynamic design, drainage and completion works are desirable for these roles. Other requirements include,

• A BSc in Civil Engineering or other related tertiary qualification.
• Professional Engineer certification and Membership of ICE or similar
• High level of technical understanding in your field A positive and driven approach to work aligned with problem solving skills
• Good managerial skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An aspiration to develop and further your career
