Our client, a highly successful, multi-disciplinary engineering firm is looking for their next strategic hire - at Director level! They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Civil Engineering to join their prestigious engineering firm based in London. This is a rare opportunity to join our clients leadership team and make a significant impact on the growth and success of their organisation. As a Director, you will have the unique opportunity to become an equity partner in the firm, allowing you to share in the company's success and contribute to its long-term vision.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the civil engineering division, overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from concept design through to construction and completion,
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth,
• Leading and mentoring a team of talented civil engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of performance and technical excellence,
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering projects with other disciplines such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environmental engineering.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain the firm's competitive edge,
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures.

Requirements:

• A degree in civil engineering or equivalent,
• A Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional engineering body,
• Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Director or in a similar leadership role within the engineering industry,
• Strong technical expertise in civil engineering, with a track record of successful project delivery across a diverse range of projects,
• Excellent business acumen and ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities,
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding results,
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners,
• Equity investment capability to become an equity partner in the firm.
