Title: Associate Director (Geotechnical Desk)

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Overview

Our client, a prominent name in the world of environmental and engineering consulting is seeking an accomplished and visionary individual to join their team as an Associate Director on the Geotechnical Engineering desk. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape their geotechnical practice, overseeing a talented team of professionals and collaborating with clients to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to complex geotechnical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification.
• Established background in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Geotechnical Engineering team, setting strategic goals, and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and understanding their needs to deliver tailored solutions.
• Offer your expertise in geotechnical engineering to solve complex challenges, provide technical guidance to the team, and ensure the application of industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities for business growth, lead proposal development, and contribute to the expansion of our geotechnical services portfolio.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and building a cohesive and high-performing team.
