Project Engineers/Agents – Highways Construction – New Zealand

With a number of projects around the country due to get under way my client is looking for a number of Project Engineers/Agents with specific experience of highway construction. This is a leading contractor, well established throughout New Zealand, and with a track record of delivering outstanding projects time and time again.

As a Project Engineer/Agent you will have a strong track record of delivering highway projects and be looking to push on from what you’ve already achieved. Your experience can come from a range of projects relating to highways, large and small, and you will have a good understanding of associated civil works such as drainage, earthworks, structures etc. As well as technical know-how, your ability to manage your team on site including trades, junior engineers and subcontractors is also critical. Support exists throughout the organisation but as a Project Engineer/Agent you will be encouraged to work independently with the direct support from the Project Manager.

Desirable attributes include,

• A degree or equivalent industry qualification
• Experience in highways projects of £10million or above
• Excellent man management, communication and IT skills
• A sense of humour and a desire to do a great job
