Our client, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy works extensively for the Insurance and loss adjusting industry. They provide civil and structural defect investigation, expert witness and liability advice services and are one of the UK’s fastest growing consulting practices. Your role: With the support of the regional director, you will be working on behalf of legal firms, insurers and adjusters and examine the professional negligence of structural and civil engineers, carry out site investigations and desk studies, prepare expert witness reports within your specialist subject areas, inspect construction site works, provide input on training and development within the structures team, assist with marketing and business development activities.
About you: A chartered, or nearing , civil or structural engineer with a building structures focus, this should ideally include some experience of expert witness reports. Knowledge of all the commonly used structural materials with good lateral thinking and problem solving skills. A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
