Senior CAD Technician

A senior structural CAD technician, with BIM experience, is required by this structural practice working on high profile London building structures  valued between £5m and £60m. The London office’s team is managed by a leading industry figure, it is a well managed and supportive operation with excellent technical expertise and low staff turnover. The appointment is the result of continued growth and a strong  long term workload. This is a highly professional organisation recognised for their technical expertise and creative talent. They remain free of much of the overbearing bureaucracy associated with some larger corporations. The position will suit a senior technician looking for a good working environment, plus more influence and a consistently interesting project workload.

You will manage drawing production deadlines, check the quality of work produced buy external sub-contractors and provide guidance to other CAD users in the design office. Hands on work will include preparation of general arrangements, BIM models, images and other documents relating to the design. You should be able to prepare structural 3D Models and implement procedures to BIM Level 2. Your background must have a focus on steel and concrete building structures.
