Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Construction – Auckland

Auckland is one of the busiest locations in the country with a range of large project ongoing and a number due to start very soon.

My client is one of the leading commercial construction contractors in New Zealand focussing on projects of $30m and above. Their work covers numerous sectors including health, infrastructure, high rise residential, tourism and commercial to name but a few. Healthcare is an area of growth in the region and to be the leading contractor in that field they need to have the most experienced people. As such they are on the lookout for a Senior PM/Construction Manager with extensive experience in the health space.

As a Senior Project Manager you’ll be used to taking the lead on commercial construction projects, utilising your team to get the best result for all stake holders. This contractor is known for taking on complex and innovative projects and it will be your responsibility to maintain those high standards and work closely with the client to ensure their expectations are met. You’ll have specific experience of working on health related projects and the unique complexities those projects bring.

Ideally you’ll have a tertiary qualification or equivalent related to the construction or project management sector, backing up your extensive practical experience. Other desirable attributes include,

• Strong IT skills with systems such as MS Project, Excel etc.
• A proven track record of delivering high end commercial construction projects
• Strong commercial and contractual experience
• Excellent man management skills and the ability to focus your team to deliver great results
