Are you an ambitious character who is looking for their next strategic career move that will realise your ambitions? Our client is increasing their team in Ipswich and are seeking a senior engineer who has extensive consultancy experience and can bring drive and enthusiasm to the role.

They need a good communicator, someone who can interact with colleagues and clients effortlessly. The ability to make prompt decisions and think on your feet is vital along with a versatile and flexible approach.

The role is predominantly within their civil structures / marine engineering team which will see you working on the structural elements and leading a variety of projects across land and marine based clients. You will also be supporting other teams within the business.

The role:

• Manage projects from concept to completion
• Design in civil/structural schemes, including steel/reinforced concrete, with marine structures experience a definite advantage
• Attend site and client meetings

About you:

• Degree in civil/structural engineering
• At least 5 years' relevant experience within a UK consultancy
• Chartered or working towards
• Knowledge of British Standards and EuroCodes
• Experience managing teams and leading projects to successful delivery
• Full driving licence
