Associate Civil Engineer (Structures)

We are looking for a Senior or Associate Civil Engineer to create and build our in-house Civil Engineering Department. The individual will report to the Directors and will eventually directly manage a Design team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ideally chartered with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) with a minimum of 7 years design experience in below ground drainage, SuDS, FRAs and producing drainage strategies
• Ability to contribute to fee proposals, tender submission and project interviews
• Knowledge of commercial and buildability requirements
• Experience of mentoring team members

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Associates within the Structures team
• Liaise with the architectural and building services teams
• Client facing role, acting as a daily point of contact
• Design:
  • Below ground drainage
  • Levels and external works
  • Drainage strategies
  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • SuDS
• Produce design programmes, reports and specifications and monitor progress
• Manage concurrent projects
• Assist with fee proposals, tender submissions and project interviews
