Job Details
Swift progression to associate, and a secured workload in high growth sectors is on offer with this profitable and well managed consultancy. Our client’s civil and structural division is the jewel in the crown of this long established, independent consultancy. They were early to market in providing civil and structural expertise for battery storage, EV charging, data centre, power distribution and renewables projects. They also have additional capability in mainstream building structures design. Their predominantly blue chip clients are providing very long term design commissions, and the ten strong civil and structural team is on course to double within two years. This appointment will provide the future divisional discipline lead, and a clear path to partnership.
The Company: A multidiscipline consultancy with a national network of offices, the practice employs in excess of two hundred personnel, they are an independent firm that has traded for more than a century. Their longevity and success is attributed to a dedication to client service, technical excellence and their ability to evolve and service viable and profitable lines of business.
Your Role: You will be involved in projects from client advisory stages, through to completion and will work closely with the partner in charge of the civil and structural division. You will have responsibility for scheme design, the supervision of design production and mentoring of junior engineers. Your role will evolve as you become familiar with the business and its clients, with increasing input on project selection, business strategy and commercial management, hastening your promotion to associate, and in line with their expansion plans.
Your Profile: A chartered or incorporated civil or structural engineer, with a background in building or industrial structures (Consideration will be given to strong candidates on the cusp of chartership). You should have a design background with experience of project delivery that includes some supervision of junior engineers. The position would suit an ambitious individual working at “Project Engineer” level who is ready for progression. There will be extensive contact with clients and close collaboration with colleagues including senior management. Good interpersonal skills are vital.
