My client is a leading tier 1 civil contractor specializing in major infrastructure projects across New Zealand. Their commitment to excellence and innovation has positioned them as a key player in the civil and infrastructure sector. Currently, they are looking to add to their team in Auckland and are now seeking a talented Project Managers to work within their structures and major projects divisions.
Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering heavy civil projects throughout the Auckland Region. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project and utilising the skills and experience within your team to deliver on time and to budget. Your experience will be heavy civil based and can include water, structures, bridges, marine or other civil works. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of New Zealand's infrastructure while working with a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead your project team through the planning and construction phases of the project
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges during construction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent A minimum of 7 years’ experience with a leading civil contractor.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent focus on health & safety
- Extensive experience of temporary works and crane utilisation on bridge construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget
